About Me

Nur Bilge Ertan

Nur Bilge Ertan was born in 1994 in Izmir, Turkey. She went to Izmir Atatürk High School and received her bachelor's degree in Management Engineering at Istanbul Technical University (ITU), one of the top universities in Turkey. She studied in Paris, France for one year as an Erasmus exchange student at Université Paris-Nanterre. Highly influenced by the rich cultural atmosphere of the city, she became intensely interested in humanities and social sciences, especially psychology and philosophy. Thus, the first seeds of her adventure of becoming a professional coach were planted there.

During her studies at the university, she had various volunteer experiences in and outside the country, which led her to develop a strong passion for helping people and creating benefits. She was a part of the "Another Way Project" for 3 years, one of the biggest and most influential projects of the ITU Volunteering Club, as a volunteer teacher and mentor to high school students who lacked educational support due to economic constraints. Moreover, she coordinated the project for one year, leading the volunteers and students, running weekly meetings, organizing activities, keeping track of the project, etc.

While on exchange in Paris, she joined AFEV, an important nonprofit organization in the fight against educational inequalities in France, where she took part in a project that provides social support to primary school children. Another international volunteering experience she had was in Egypt. She volunteered as a teacher at a francophone kindergarten in Cairo as part of a short-term AIESEC project. Thanks to all these experiences with different cultures and age groups, she had the chance of witnessing the supportive effect of meaningful relationships on human growth and development.

She met professional coaching in her final year of university, through the group coaching sessions she took part in. Later on, she also took individual coaching, giving her the chance of experiencing its transformative power. This powerful effect of coaching on unlocking human potential inspired and motivated her decision to become a professional coach. She then started her coaching training at Adler International Learning Central Europe, one of the best coaching schools in the world, guided by her values such as support for human development, benefit creation, and compassion. She completed the ICF Accredited Professional Certificated Coaching Programs and Advance Level Coaching Program: Practicum and became an Adler Trained Coach (ATC). Besides having more than 120 hours of coaching experience, she volunteered several times as a teaching assistant at Adler's coaching programs to excel in her coaching competencies. She mainly supports her clients in their career and personal development goals, working with adults of different ages and professions on various topics such as career management, performance improvement, self-confidence, self-esteem, communication skills, etc. In addition, due to her love and commitment to the coaching profession, she voluntarily coaches university students within the scope of social responsibility projects in order to expand the benefits of coaching to society.

Highly interested in learning languages, she is fluent in English and French and has an intermediate level of Spanish. Besides her passions for nature, swimming, and traveling she enjoys reading about human psychology, philosophy of mind, and neuroscience.
